11.30 - Travel to the Eye of the Allfather - The Grimm travels with us to the Eye. We are attacked midway by crag-cats.
11.22 - Meet Grimm - We fight and kill some of the Uthgart attacking us. As they begin to flee the Grimm shows up. We say we came to talk to him about re-establishing the Ordening. He says he will accompany us to the Eye of the Allfather, where we may get more information about the Ordening or who can take over for the missing Hecaton
11.16 - Mirabar - We teleport to Mirabar, and meet Zaspar. He gives us some basic city information, but doesn’t know a lot more about the Grimm. We head to a tavern, where Baron checks if there is a message from Shalvis. There isn’t. The guards (The Axes of Mirabar) don’t have specific information about Grimm either. We travel for two days towards the Eye of the Allfather in search of Grimm. We see no recent signs. On the second night, I create a fire arrow, and see humanoids walking by. I leave the hut, and call out to the people. They attack me!
11.2 - Meeting Falorin’s Friends - We make it to Everlund, a good sized town with lots of industry. We head to the MoonGleam tower, an ostentatious headquarters for the Harpers. We inform them of Falorin’s demise, and say that we’ll return his body. Krowen, the master of the Harpers Tower, gives us access to teleportation circles across the region! I buy a portable hole. I also go invisible and donate 300 gold to the local orphanage (The Sleeping Giant Inn and Orphanage).
*Bridon Backstory* As we sit in the tavern room of Danivar’s House, I overhear the table next to me talking about an issue in Zanthar’s Keep. An Automaton issue that was solved, but Zanthar is still recovering.
10.26 - Meet Vernell - Vernell (disguised as Namnoc) thought that we attacked the shire. After learning that we helped save it, he released us and joined us. He is an outcast due to his affliction, but was bounty hunting with Godrick and Keladry at one point. Also was hunting Worvil the Weavil.
10.19 - Ambushed… again - After the fall of Falorin, Nemkaa raised him as a zombie (yikes). We went back to Calling Horns, and informed Tamelin that the Giant and Troll problem has been solved. She recognized the Rod of ???? And that it can help us locate objects and adamantine in particular. There was a circus in town, and a gentleman named Namnoc was the proprietor. We (without suspicion) played some games, drank some drinks, and got drugged by Namnoc.
10.11 - Falorins fallen, friends - We fought a fire giant and two trolls. Falorin went down, Bridon and Baron didn’t heal him, and he died.
10.4 - No boats! We met with Tamelin, the town leader of Calling Horns. She said she can give us a letter of recommendation if we deal with the troll issue. A letter for Baron was delivered from Shalvis/Norab, saying that he was following Godric and Keladry. They are headed north doing bounty hunting. We followed tracks of the trolls to a lake. Falorin was insistent that we not cross the water, so we walked around the lake. We found a Fire Giant speaking with a troll.
9.27 - Finally, trolls! - The party gets back on the road to Everlund. While staying overnight in Calling Horns, a pair of trolls attacks the inn (Tamelin’s Place - a converted manor). We are assisted by a halfling named Largo.
9.20 - One Ring - The party finally defeats the Wraiths, and finds a halfling who was hiding. We also find a ring, that Baron puts on and feels sick, like something was severed. Did Norab just die?!?!?!
9.13 - We’re going on an adventure! A herd of elk run past, doing some damage but not focusing on us. We go deeper into the forest, and find the Shire. In the Shire we find more elk corpses, blood, but no humanoid bodies. We are attacked by Ring Wraiths.
9.6 - Need a hand? We are accosted on the road by bugbears. After beating them, we find that one has a freshly severed halfling hand. We follow the trail backwards.
8.30 - A Letter for Falorin - When we get back to Westbridge, the inkeep has a letter for Falorin. Its from his mother. She says that a contact in Everlund (Krowen) can help us travel faster. He lives in the Moongleam Tower. We decide to head towards Everlund before going north.
Meeting Old Gnawbone - After defeating the bugbears, Old Gnawbone appears to us walking through the forest. We ask if she can help us with the giant problem, and she directs us to talk to a Frost Giant in the far north. We are to head to the Valley of Kedrune to the Eye of the Allfather. The dragon suggests we talk to the giant who has a distinct helm of a White Dragon skull.
Accusations of Cowardace - we arrived in Westbridge, and talked to a hunter. He suggested that we not try to talk to Old Gnawbone. Falorin accused the hunter of being a coward, then Falorin got punched in the face. We went into the forest, and had a fight with some Uthgard soldiers and a priest.
A Tour and Transport - we reunite with Zepharos, who gives us a ride towards Cryptgarden Forest. In the course of the travel, he gives us a tour of the interior of his tower. He shows us his personal library, the navigation stone, and the griffon stable.
Badgers and Snails - We took a short rest, and planned how to speak to the Snail to try and get the contract to the tower. Baron made himself look like a messenger, and took a note that Bridon wrote to the Snail. He was unconvinced, and said we had to earn back our lost reputation with the Zentarim. He directed us to Waterdeep or Bargeright Inn.
We set out to meet with Old Gnawbone, but were attacked by giants.
Nemkaa’s Night Out - Nemkaa attempted to raise 4 zombies in the town cemetery, but was caught by the guards. After a long attempted escape, he was captured and almost thrown in prison. He paid a significant sum in gold to stay out of prison, and we were escorted out of town.
Say Cheese - After our travel from Waterdeep, we arrived at Daggerford and met Lilly Hardcheese, propietor of the Happy Cow Tavern. She is Oren’s sister. We also make contact with
Than’s and Dragons - We spoke with Kaldar Marskil at House Than. Naxine Than in Goldenfields is the heir to their successful wine empire. We were rewarded with some magic items. Kaldar suggested that we meet with Chazloth, who may know more about the Giants. He recommended that we meet with Old Gnawbone, an ancient green dragon about the giant issue. Nemkaa and Jariah did some recon, and found the Kaldar has a silver dragon Wyrmling as a pet/familiar?
We set out toward Daggerford, and suddenly felt a cold sensation. We didn’t see anything odd or detect magical effects, but were immediately accosted by bugbears.
The Party met in a forest outside Nightstone. After making it to town, we discovered it had been attacked by giants coming from a floating city. The Giants stole the Nightstone. We cleared the city of goblins and met the remaining guards. As we were leaving to get the townspeople back, a group of the Zentarim lead by Xolkin came to town. A fight broke out, and we sided with the Zentarim.
After retrieving the townspeople and taking them back to town, we headed to towards Golden Fields to inform a family member of the attack and passing of his father.
On the way to Golden Fields, a floating castle appears. We go into the castle and meet Zephyros, a Sky Giant Wizard. He explains that the Ordening (the social order of Giants) has been broken with the death of the king of the giants - King Hekaton. Zephyros was following the Cloud Giants who attacked nightstone, and wanted to help us.
We get to Golden fields and deliver the news of the Nightstone attack to Miros, and give him his parents Tressym. Falorin participates in a fighting ring.
We go back to the North Furrow’s End Inn, and find Godrick and Keladry. They offer to let us join a contract to kill a troll. After they lead us outside of town, they attack us for causing the death of the Nightstone guards and Godrick’s brother. We manage to knock Keladry unconscious, and Godrick then surrenders as long as they’re allowed to leave.
We head back to the Inn to recover. In the middle of the night, there is an attack by Goblins, Bugbears, Ogre’s, and 2 hill giants. We are able to fight and defeat the enemies, and the hill giants surrender. After interrogating the giants (Og and Lob), the party decided they were too dangerous and killed them. We spent night in the inn in Golden Fields before heading out towards the Bargeright Inn to talk with the Zentarim at Shalvis’s request.
During our travel, we fight a Topaz Dragon. That night, Baron and Bridon are pulled into a dream fight with Ves Pero, a hag.
The next day we make it to the Bargeright Inn with Shalvis. Shalvis reveals to Bridon that he owes the Zentarim a huge sum. We meet Nalisker, who offers to pay us 2000 gold to escort a wagon to Morbrins Shield to the “Troll in Flames Inn”. Unknown to us, Baron re-negotiates the contract to pay us less gold but release Shalvis from his debt. We head out, and are attacked by agents of the Harpers, who disengage and leave when they discover that Falorin is a Harper, and that the wagon is a Zentarim shipment.
*Missed sessions notes -
- Found a roadside house with a ghost
- Bridon attempted to investigate the barrels of the shipment, and found only ale.
- Delivered the Zentarim shipment
